Purpose
- Love road trips? Want to help hard-working Oregon students go to college? Then join our Action Day for Tuition Equity!
In case you are unfamiliar, Tuition Equity allows all long-time students who get into public universities in Oregon to pay in-state tuition regardless of their documentation.
We were able to schedule an informational hearing which is a pretty big deal (the bill itself is up in 2013), so it’d be HUGE to have you there. We’re a big-tent organization, so even if you don’t support the issue (or just wanna learn more) and you still want to come down to experience the hearing, you’re totally welcome.
- If you are in Portland and are keen for a ride to Salem, we are taking the BUSES!
Meet up at PSU at 12:30pm and should be back by 5:30pm.
- Otherwise, meet on Capitol steps at 2pm.
Also, if you are a student, you’d probably have to take time off of classes, but teachers are usually excited you’re doing stuff like this (as it makes you more civically engaged and such).
