Purpose

Investigators from the U.S. Department of Justice will be on hand to hear testimony about unconstitutional practices in the way the Portland Police Bureau uses force. The Albina Ministerial Alliance (AMA) Coalition for Justice and Police Reform will present invited testimony from family members of those who have been killed by police misconduct and then the forum will open to take public testimony. Do you know someone with a story about police use of force or the Bureau's unconstitutional practices? Please encourage them to attend. If your neighbor has not been a victim, you may want to come support those who have as they seek justice. Here is a link to the venue: http://www.pcc.edu/about/locations/cascade

Other details
The DoJ are particularly interested in documenting problems the Police Bureau has when they encounter people with mental or emotional challenges.
