From the road, in mid-fall.

The Alvord Hot Springs are aging, open-air, partially walled hot springs on the western edge of the Alvord Desert in southeastern Oregon. Build in the 70s (or thereabouts) by a local rancher and some friends, the springs are currently owned by that rancher. He has said he's considering closing it or charging a fee due to vandalism and people not cleaning up after themselves, but as of the fall of 2009 it was still free and open to the public.

The main pipe that brings in hot water, as seen from the springs looking toward the road.
