*5:00PM - We will gather at Director's Park located between SW Yamhill and SW Taylor.
*Make your posters and signs to oppose the NDAA.
*5:00PM - 6:00PM - We will have an open forum and announcement. This is where crucial information about the bill is presented to everyone, especially for new people who are wanting to learn more, unaware and for bystanders.
*We will gather at the fountain and have an announcement and open forum speaking at the Waterfront on SW Salmon and SW Naito Parkway.
*6:00PM - 9:00PM - We will be marching around downtown to protest against the NDAA bill. Our route will typically cover Pioneer Square area, and may change depending on the number of participants (our previous march included a march on the east side from Lloyd Center to KATU).
*11:00am we will be marching around downtown to protest.

Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) explained that the bill will 'basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield' and people can be imprisoned without charge or trial 'American citizen or not.' On Monday, the Senate defeated the Udall amendment to this bill and passed 37-61. If passed as written, it would allow our government and military to arrest ANYONE ANYWHERE, and detain them indefinitely without charges or trial or any form of due process, defense or justice...purely on "suspicion of terrorism."
 
This bill would effectively strip our right of "peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances," our constitutional right.
