Laurelhurst's northern boundary is made up of Sandy Boulevard and Interstate 84, its eastern boundary is César Chávez Avenue (formerly 39th), its southern boundary is SE Stark, and its western boundary is 32nd. The neighborhood is almost exclusively residential, with small pockets of retail and offices on Sandy, Burnside, and Stark.
