Milwaukie is a smallish city along the east bank of the Willamette River in the northernmost part of Clackamas County. Founded in 1847 and, early on, larger than Portland.

The fifth MAX line, the Orange Line, is slated to have Milwaukie as its destination.

Strangely, Milwaukie is the birthplace of the bing cherry, first crossbred here in 1875, as well as the home of Dark Horse Comics, founded here in 1986. Drivers do well to obey the posted speed limits in Milwaukie.
