We will need the help of the community to support Occupy Portland. Anything you can offer, large and small is appreciated. There is no plan yet for dropping off any donated items -- but stay posted.

Here are some things occupiers will need:

Food and Drinks

The Food Committee is organizing meals and beverages. If you can donate food and drinks, please email opdx99foodteam AT gmail DOT com. You can also sign up on the Food Schedule (http://doodle.com/dwnhty9gffu9pevu#cmt12048484) for food you can donate and prepare off-site.

Anyone wishing to offer their medical expertise to the cause, is asked to meet @ 11am, just to the south of the fountains @ Guv Tom McCall Park (near the Burnside Bridge), on Oct. 6th. Medical donations can be left with the committee prior to the rally (12pm) and march (2:30pm).

Wish list of medical supplies:

  • (for tear gas) an eye flush in a bottle with a squirt cap using a solution of half liquid antacid and half water. This only applies to aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide based antacids such as Maalox (plain or mint). this also works as a mouth rinse for tear gas, but spit it out!
  • A large squirt bottle of water! important to stay hydrated and water will help wash off chemical burn from tear gas.
  • Rescue Remedy tincture (or something similar--1:1 skullcap/lavender tincture, for example)
  • Flowers of borage tincture, to recover emotional strength.
  • Triangle bandages
  • Vinyl gloves
  • Gauze - sterile 4x4's
  • Band-Aids (S, M, L, knuckle, etc.)
  • Antiseptic wash (like witch hazel or iodine)
