Welcome to sunny Portland!

Welcome to PortlandWiki, a city wiki for Portland, Oregon that anyone can edit. We aim to provide a comprehensive reference for anything and everything in the area. You've caught us early in the project. Poke around and check back from time to time and see how we're doing. If you want to help out: register an account (no email required), explore, and add anything you think is useful. Otherwise, check back in a bit and see if the dust has settled.

You're meeting PortlandWiki in its infancy. It grows and thrives with your input, and with contributions from people like you. You are invited to participate in one of our PortlandWiki "edit parties" every Monday evening. Check out our Monday Meets page to find out when and where you can attend the next one.

If PortlandWiki's Monday Meets don't work for your schedule, start your own PortlandWiki meet up and choose any day you like. Feel free to post your PortlandWiki meet ups here. Getting together with others to work on PortlandWiki is a great way to discuss contribution ideas, get help with figuring out "wiki text," and have fun! We also discuss PortlandWiki at Wiki Wednesdays, which are also free and open to anyone. Come by!

Tell us how you found out about the site!

Places To Go Near Portland

Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens and the Pacific Coast are all within a two hour drive from Portland. These are all great places to be during the few months of the year when it is not raining - basically, July 4th - October 4th.

Multnomah Falls is the biggest waterfall in the region. You will be pleasantly surprised if you take the Old Highway along The Gorge. There are dozens of small, beautiful waterfalls.
