The State of Black Oregon was a report[1] released in 2009 by the Urban League of Portland. The report reveals social and economic disparities — such as in education, employment, health, criminal justice, and child and youth welfare — faced by the black population of Oregon, which includes Americans descending from Africa, the Caribbean, Brazil, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Haiti, or other Latin American nations.
