While being primarily motivated to post links and contact info for specific shelters, I'm finding that I have to spend some time and effort to describe what a shelter is first. --Matthew

My apologies that there's more Salvation Army shelters than the others. It's just because I do a lot of work with SA, I know more about what they are doing. Feel free to add others! --Matthew
