Another adavantage of Vanpooling is that it can be effective at getting around people who aren't able to drive, each van can carry 5 to 15 people, and however many people it can carry only one driver is needed. Now, I realised that people all sorts of physical/cogtaive impairments that many (slightly) impact driving performance may still be licensed, at least for non-commercial driving. I've read the Oregon has recently allowed bi-optic drivers, and it is techncally legal for them to drive with as many passergers as regular drivers, even though they have different licences, go through different tests, and don't meet the minimum vision standards for commercial licenses, and many not even be allowed to drive taxis. Now, if each of them all either van pooled or took public transport, would Oregon have made that law change?
