TriMet apps tap into TriMet's free online databases to build programs for iPhone, Android, web and other platforms to make it easier to ride Portland's transit system.

Trip planning

These are generally the most full-featured apps, telling you when the next bus or train is coming and figuring out how to get from one place to another in the TriMet system.

For Android

Buster

iTransitBuddy

Despite being listed on TriMet's apps site, iTransitBuddy does not offer a Portland version as of August 2010.

Portland Transit (Android)

Bottom line: 6/10. Full-featured but buggy. Most devastating, though, was the struggle to determine location.
