My name is Michael. I live in northeast Portland's North Tabor neighborhood

I've been enthusiastic about wikis for years and contributed a bit to Wikipedia, but have never become an active member of a wiki community. I'm also enthusiastic about Portland; transportation and development issues; improvisational theater; and bread.

My news startup

I manage a wiki-based nonprofit news startup called Portland Afoot, for transit riders in Portland. We also publish a four-page monthly print newsmagazine, which is available for free to people who work downtown or on Swan Island or for $14 a year to people who don't.

Though I expect to be the PA wiki's primary contributor for quite a while, I'd obviously love anyone else's help and advice. It's licensed BY-SA, and I hope to keep working collaboratively with the PortlandWiki project whenever I can.
