After 5pm in Portland (especially downtown), the number of available places to work with free wifi are diminished. If you're one of the many geeks who work at night, help us build a list of evening wifi spaces. (By work, we mean limited noise, available tables, decent lighting.)

  • Southeast Grind, 1223 SE Powell, just east of 12th/Milwaukee. Only 24 hour coffee shop in PDX.
  • World Cup Roasters, inside Powell's Books, 1005 W. Burnside at 11th. Open till 11pm weekdays. Must purchase something to get wifi code; very few electrical outlets.
  • Lucky Labrador has four locations around PDX. They also have electrical outlets scattered around.
- 1700 N Killingsworth (Hours: Mon-Sat, 11am to Midnight; Sun, Noon to 10pm; Minors allowed until 10pm)
- 915 SE Hawthorne (Hours: Mon-Sat, 11am to Midnight; Sun, Noon to 10pm; Minors allowed until 9pm)
- 7675 SW Capitol Hwy (Hours: Mon-Sat, 11am to Midnight; Sun, Noon to 10pm; Minors allowed until 10pm)
- 1945 NW Quimby (Hours: Mon-Sat, 11am to 10pm; Sun, Noon to 10pm; Minors allowed until 9pm)
  • Backspace is great during the day but hit and miss at night depending on what's going on like art shows or music events. Check out their website for events info. 115 NW 5th. Mon-Fri 7am to 12am, Sat-Sun 10am to 12am.
