| purpose = Buy Nothing Day (BND) is an international day of protest against consumerism observed by social activists. 

BND will be celebrated in America this year on November 25th, the Friday after Thanksgiving.  Internationally it is recognized the day following: November 26th.

This event is sponsored annually by Adbusters. The following quote is from a 2009 interview with Lauren Bercovitch from Adbusters' Vancouver:
