The Laurelhurst Theater is located at 2735 East Burnside in the Kerns neighborhood of Northeast Portland. The theater is a second-run theater and offers beer, wine, and food for showings.

History

The theater was built in 1923 and was one of the first Art Deco style theaters at the time. It was built by Walter Tebbetts, who built many of the other theaters in Portland, including the Hollywood Theater. [1] It originally had a single theater that could seat 650 people, although over the years expansions and changed were made and there are now four auditoriums. [2]
