Located in downtown Portland, the Elm Court Center is one of 34 Loaves & Fishes meal sites committed to providing nutritious meals to seniors in our community. Each year this center delivers 60,000 meals to homebound seniors, and serves an additional 48,000 meals to onsite diners.

The Elm Court Center depends on 710 volunteers annually to help prepare, serve and deliver hot lunches to seniors every weekday. Elm Court also serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday. In order to volunteer, it is necessary to first request to do so, and then a representative will contact you within 24-48 hours. To see the appreciation on people's faces when they are given a hot meal and someone to talk to definitely makes volunteering a fulfilling experience. Homebound seniors not only receive a hot nutritious meal, but also a daily visit from a caring volunteer. Our center provides a gathering place for seniors to enjoy a meal and participate in a variety of activities including exercise, art and computer classes as well as group field trips. We rely on community contributions to ensure that no senior will go hungry or experience social isolation. The need is urgent in downtown Portland. To donate now, click on the link below.
