Purpose

Proposed Agenda:

January 8th...Post Office Rally: We need volunteers to help Jamie with publicity, and we need to send this out to all of our list. Some folks on the day of should have contact sheets for our committee.
January 14th/15th: St. Francis open house: In two weeks there is an open house for the new Occupy space at St. Francis. We will need to have volunteers committed to attend as representatives of labor outreach committee. We need a little flier that outlines who we are and what we do to recruit more people.
Longview ILWU: Per Jamie's previous email, there has been a call from the longshoremen to support the Longview ILWU in a mid-January protest against union-busting. There is serious excitement about this action up and down the coast. We will need to aid in the effort of coordinating rides and mobilizing Occupy Portland to attend.
Labor & Occupy Panel Discussion: I'm not sure who is taking point on this? We might want to push it back.
People's Assembly: update on progress.
"Union Liaison": When Tony left he mentioned that he set up a "union liaison team" who we have not heard from. In the past couple of days I have got in contact with a union liaison, Mike. We should discuss what this means, and how it is or is not part of labor outreach.
