doesn't seem portland related

a lot of what is making onto the "news" section of the main page doesn't seem so portalnd related and/or political. i'm not sure this is going to attract contributors and/or a wide segment of the population. i appreciate the energy time and effort, but perhaps it could be directed in another direction.
