OCCUPY JUSTICE - A morale booster for the Occupy Movement!

Purpose

Occupy Justice~ A Morale Booster for the Occupy Wall St Movement!

In celebration of Martin Luther King Day, and in solidarity with people's movements the world over, local Occupiers and their supporters are invited to this donation-only event.

We celebrate the Martin Luther King legacy, as well as all of the individuals who have followed in his footsteps in demanding justice.

Entertainers
  • Portland hip-hop titan Mic Crenshaw
  • Bohemian stage family in The Wanderlust Circus
  • Veteran bicycle dance team, The Sprockettes
  • Justin James Bridges
  • David Rovics
  • and others will gather to honor the troops on the front lines of this peaceful revolution, a USO for the 99%.
We would love to see everyone there.

We welcome one and all to participate in a celebratory day of performance, dance, and music.

  • No one will be turned away due to lack of funds



Other details
This will be a donation based event. All proceeds made from this event will go to legal fees for those who have stood up in pursuit of freedom and those who have been shot down by injustice. The money will go to Occupy Portland, Justin James Bridges, who was hospitalized shortly after his encounter with the Oregon Police Department and Aaron Campbell’s family for their pursuit of justice in the fatal shooting of their son by the Portland Police Department.

Occupy Portland, and the worldwide Occupation movement, has diminished in press coverage as our physical encampments have been evicted. But the movement continues, stronger and more focused than ever.
