Rose City Transit Company was a private transit company that operated the mass transit service for Portland from 1956 to 1969.

History

Starting in 1936, the Portland Traction Company had a 20 year contract to operate Portland's transit system. The franchise was not renewed by the city in 1955 for a variety of reasons. The Portland Traction Company transferred the system to Rose City Transit, a subsidiary, in 1956.
