South Tabor is a neighborhood in Southeast Portland. It's located south of Mt. Tabor, an extinct volcano that is part of the Boring Lava Field, and that houses one of the city's largest and best-loved parks.
The neighborhood is bounded on the north by Division, on the east by SE 82nd, on the south by SE Powell Boulevard, and on the west by SE 52nd. It derives its name from being south of Mount Tabor. The neighborhood is officially recognized by the City's Office of Neighborhood Involvement (ONI). It is part of Southeast Uplift (SEUL), one of the City's seven neighborhood coalitions, which provides resources and assists with access to City Hall.
Anyone who lives, works, or owns a business in South Tabor may be considered a member of the South Tabor Neighborhood Association (STNA).
