It is a type of freestanding store signage that is positioned on a sidewalk nearby. They fold flat with hinges on the top. When unfolded it resembles an 'A'. This form of signage is common in Portland urban areas where strict building codes keep stores from larger signs.
City Code Permit
Portable signs, as they are called by the city, require a Code 32 Permit.
Requirements are based on City Code Title 32 Base Zone Regulations from the he City of Portland, Oregon, Bureau of Development Services.
