I'm not sure if the calendar is a good idea... seems like a page for every day would be a major hassle to deal with. And there are other local calendars that are already used by people that we could embed, I think? Maybe not, I've been looking. -[[User:Kotra|kotra]] ([[User talk:Kotra|talk]]) 02:52, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

I actually like the idea of a calendar - but frankly I forgot about it. What I would like is the upcoming week on the front page. let's see if we can replicate that here...
obviously the ussf wiki stuff is wrong, but I still like the idea. a wiki calendar! we need to change the name of our calendar from mycalendar to PortlandWiki Calendar or something, so the individual date pages would be more interesting. Also, that is where the news might live? We do a news item and if there are things scheduled then the news can be about the scheduled items? Look forward to exploring this and maybe dumping it, but I love it! Best,

I suggest we just use feeds from other calendars for now. Now that rss feeds work now. --Matthew (talk) 20:24, 10 May 2011 (PDT)
