Occupy is bidding to shut down America's west coast ports in support of an ongoing International Longshore Workers Union battle.

Solidarity Divided: Occupy Protesters Shut Down Ports Without Union’s Support

The decision by an outside group to shut down the ports and cause workers to lose a day’s pay without them first getting their consent raises serious questions about the Occupy movement willingness to bypass a labor union's own democractic decisionmaking process.
