The Alvord Hot Springs are aging, open-air, partially walled hot springs on the western edge of the Alvord Desert in southeastern Oregon. Build in the 70s (or thereabouts) by a local rancher and some friends, the springs are currently owned by that rancher. He has said he's considering closing it or charging a fee due to vandalism and people not cleaning up after themselves, but as of the fall of 2009 it was still free and open to the public.
