Portland Mayoral Candidates 2012

On July 29, 2011, Sam Adams sealed his legacy as a Portland mayor with a consecutive one term, as he announced on his official website for as the Mayor of Portland that he would not seek reelection [1]. Adams rose to the Rose City's highest office with a political career that most recently had included the role of Chief of Staff to the politically-savvy three-term mayor, Vera Katz.

With that decision, the early and few candidates waiting in the wings began serious overtures for the vacancy.
