Cyrus Buckman

Cyrus Buckman was an early resident of the town of East Portland. The Buckman neighborhood is named after him.

Buckman was born in Stark County, Ohio, in 1834, and came to Oregon in 1867, settling in the neighborhood that now bears his name. He was a member of the Port of Portland committee, a member of the East Portland Board of Trustees, and vice president of the Citizens' bank of the east side. He died September 6th, 1894.
