According to their website, the First Congregational Church (or First Congregational United Church of Christ) is "a progressive Christian community located in the heart of Portland. We are centered in our faith and in our lives by the simple guiding principles of a love of God and a love for one another."[1]
After the people living in Occupy Portland's encampment were evicted by mayor Sam Adams, First Congregational opened its doors to several of OP's Working Groups to continue their work.
