A hackathon is a concentrated effort in a common location for software developers to work on a common project or on projects with a common theme.

It's challenging to find a project that has lasting value to work on during a hackathon. Below is a list of suggested project areas or project ideas that can be incorporated into future hackathons which will have an impact beyond the time and space allocated for the hackathon itself.
