Some types of plants and animals that exist today in the northwest are not native to our area, generally having been imported - intentionally or unintentionally - by people. These species can pose threats to native species, and as such are considered undesirable.
Invasive species include:
- Nutria
- English ivy
- Blackberries
- Butterfly bush
- Scotch bloom
