Portland Building

The Portland Building in downtown houses city offices.
The building itself is a controversial postmodern design by architect Michael Graves. Local detractors -- notably former mayors of the city, and Portland's own internationally known architect Pietro Belluschi -- criticized its ticky-tacky look and unworkable interior spaces.
The western facade serves as a pedestal for Raymond Kaskey's colossal allegorical bronze of Portlandia, easily the best part of the whole affair.
