This is an auxiliary template of the expansion demo templates.

It has as parameter {{{1}}} a piece of wikitext, and produces the wikitext needed to display it properly. The core is {{#tag:nowiki|{{{1}}}}}, thus avoiding code for bold, italics, links etc. to be interpreted. Newlines and various special codes such as *', ":", and "#" are treated separately.

It is called by Template:Xpda.
