Northwest Portland is one of the Five Quadrants of Portland. It is bounded on the North and the West by the city limits (although the West Hills create a physical border on the West side), the East by the Willamette River, and on the South by W Burnside Street. It encompasses the former township of Linnton, which was annexed by Portland in 1915.
