Eliot is a neighborhood in Portland that spans parts of Northeast and North. It is bounded on the north by Fremont and the Fremont Bridge, on the east by NE 7th, on the south by Broadway and on the west by the Willamette River.
Eliot was named in honor of Rev. Thomas L. Eliot, a pioneer minister. The neighborhood contains the former independent town of Albina, and the Legacy Emanuel Hospital.
