Northwest Portland is one of the Five Quadrants of Portland. It is bounded on the North and the West by the city limits (although the West Hills create a physical border on the West side), the East by the Willamette River, and on the South by Burnside Street. It encompasses the former township of Linnton, which was annexed by Portland in 1915.
