Belmont is a an east-west running street that exists only in Southeast Portland. Belmont begins as an east running one-way street at SE Water, although the main eastbound off-ramp Morrison Bridge runs above it before the two merge at SE Grand. The street continues as a one-way until reaches SE 25th, where it becomes a two-way street. Belmont terminates at SE 70th.

Belmont's main business district is located in the Sunnyside neighborhood, with the core of the district stretching from SE 32nd to SE 35th. This was the terminus of one of the Eastside's first streetcar lines, making this the oldest Eastside business district outside of the original East Portland and Albina townships.
