Alameda Ridge

The Alameda Ridge is a glacial geologic formation in residential Northeast Portland, stretching from approximately NE 57th Avenue and NE Sandy Boulevard (northwest of Rose City Park), in a west-north-west direction, to approximately NE 15th Avenue and NE Prescott Street.

The ridge is visible on street maps as a discontinuity in the street grid. For residents the ridge results in higher property values (because of the views and unusually large properties) and health risks (because the ridge produces the highest concentrations of radon gas in the city).
