North Portland is one of the Five Quadrants of Portland. The boundaries of North Portland are considered to be the Willamette River on the West, the Columbia River on the North, Williams Avenue on the East and Broadway Avenue to the South. The area incorporates the former nineteenth-century towns of Albina and St. Johns, as well as the site of the twentieth-century community of Vanport.
