Willamette Week
Taking it's name from the Willamette River that runs through Portland, Willamette Week is the older of Portland's two current general-audience alternative weekly newspapers. In editorial content it stands apart from its closest competitor, the Portland Mercury, by its heavier focus on investigative reporting, education and business. The Willamette Week has been publishing since November of 1974.
